The last tower of the Riviera Hotel and Casino will be demoed tonight.

For the old school Vegas rat. It was a backdrop for movies including the Rat Pack original “Ocean’s 11” in 1960; the James Bond film “Diamonds Are Forever;” and “Casino” in 1995.

“Casino” is by far the most memorable of the three.

The Casino is going to be replaced by a larger convention center. This will be a strong bet for Vegas as the amount of bets and casino action have dwindled due to online gaming and the massive increase in the Per head Market.

It may be nostalgic, but in the land of Las Vegas money runs everything and the old school holds less value than it used too.
