Xiufei Yang, 59, and Meie Sun, 52, weren’t high-stakes gamblers.

their attorneys argue in court filings, saying instead that they were local housekeepers, allegedly recruited with the cooperation of Sands personnel to take out millions of dollars in credit in their names and sit near high rollers.

the two were used as laundering mules of up to 6.4 million in “lost” monies.

That is according to the defendants lawyer.

The casinos, however say there is no proof the woman were recruited or worked on the tables. It is a distraction from the fact they owe the 6.4 million to the casino.

The lawyer for the two women are claiming these debts should be null and void due to the nature they were brought in to play alongside high rollers.

Two-thirds of all table bets placed at The Venetian and Palazzo are made through borrowing from the house, according to the company’s financial filings.

As the case unfolds, I am sure there will eventually be some kind of correlation between the two woman being allowed 6.4 million in credit. No average housekeeper I know would qualify for that kind of line.
